Guatemala is a country located in Central America and borders with Mexico, El Salvador and Belize. This incredible country is filled with diverse wildlife, ancient cities and a rich culture. It is one of the less popular spots to visit compared to Colombia or Mexico however in my opinion, this makes it better as there are less tourists and prices are abit friendlier. This country is a paradise for nature lovers, history buffs, and adventure seekers alike. From Colourful markets to cobblestone streets in Antigua, there really is something for everybody.
This is my intro guide to exploring Guatemala from someone who has lived there for 7 months among locals in small towns as well as the big city. Soon I will release a longer, more in depth guide on experiencing Guatemala to the full from visa help, best places to visit and how to be traveler in Guatemala, not a tourist.
